Main activities:
T&C Consulting provides support to MOH and stakeholders to strengthen the country’s SHI program. More specifically, the assignment consisted of:
- Review of the SHI program’s policy and institutional arrangements;
- Identify policy actions to address the constraints and support MOH in generating high-quality policy notes, position papers, and research to inform policy formulation;
- Assist MOH to develop a plan to enhance SHI’s regulatory and operational framework;
- Support the development of innovative solutions to address the long-term health care needs of the aging population;
- Design and pilot a basic health services package for the elderly;
- Support the design and implementation of needs-based capacity development interventions for MOH and provincial staff to enhance their professional competency;
- Conduct a staff learning needs assessment to design and implement gender-sensitive competency-based training interventions;
- Establish a system to track learning outcomes and the application of new skills by trainees.
