Main activities:

Package 1 (11/2014): Mid-term review

Achievement of funding’s objectives;
Implementation of project activities;
General readiness;
Coordination between donors of FCPF and other initiatives/projects related to REDD+;
Identification of risks regarding environment and society related to the funding (including the process of socio-environmental strategic assessment SESA and environmental and social management framework – ESMF);
Process of consultation with stakeholder; and
Any change in design or methods related to funding activities;
Proposed approaches, methods to implement the project effectively for the next period.

Package 2 (11/2016 – 1/2017): Final evaluation

Evaluate/measure the accomplishment of the Project objective and expected outputs through the use of quantitative and qualitative indicators and criterion;
Identify and analyze Project’s achievements, shortcomings, and drawing lessons learned and recommendations (for PMUs, donors, stakeholders) to ensure the progress and success of Phase 2 of the FCPF-REDD+ Project;
Evaluate the contribution of FCPF-REDD+ Project to the REDD+ readiness preparation in Vietnam;
Evaluate the sustainability of FCPF-REDD+ Project’s contribution
Evaluate the effectiveness of administrative procedures in project management and implementation;
Evaluate the cooperation among FCPF-REDD+ Project with relevant stakeholders (other REDD+ projects, line agencies, and relevant organizations) in supporting the readiness of REDD+ implementation in Vietnam.
